Which Finger Should We Wear Amethyst

Conclusion : Surveyors

Uff, as we have only half a Year began with the construction diary and is already the initial results (more will follow). employs

A question that we have some time, and to judge the many requests for many other future clients is, "you need a surveyor? Question in advance: Why not? - Additional costs. What is evidence? - You advise someone who has at his side, which checks with technical knowledge and critical eye the work of the construction company.

The decision for the advice of an expert from the association of private builders fell with us first for 2 reasons: lack of expertise to evaluate work carried out and to the finding of the study of various building diaries that a construction is more complex than it seems and a lot can go wrong ...

Our collaboration with the architect of VPB began with a detailed consultation and examination of the work contract, which we have received from Viebrock. In this rather technical and legal aspects were considered. Even if the contract of Mr Blumenbach was judged to be very detailed, he had to explain a lot and made us aware of the issues we have clarified the Viebrock vendors. In this way we felt when signing the contract for work significantly safer.

During construction, we have agreed on certain points in time dates on which was a detailed tour of the site. These dates have been together with our construction manager and issues for implementation of different works could be answered more directly. In addition, there were many explanations for why we (and how), for example on window insulation or connections must be optimized. Particularly well, we found evidence, as we can throw at our regular visits to the site itself an eye on the quality of the work.

Another moment in which the accompanying Surveyors was very calm, was the date of final acceptance . Honestly, who already feels secure in recognizing experience without any possible defects in construction? One day before the pre-acceptance, we went through the house together and have the (few) shortcomings included, which we then discussed the following day with the site manager. Now we have the feeling that no nasty surprises lurking behind any wall covering for us.

have taken retrospect, we think a good decision. It was from a human and professional point of view very nice to work with Mr. Bach flowers by the Association of private owners together. Even if it encounters in our view no serious things from him could (Thoele / Viebrock has, as already described, delivered a very good job), so there were small things that our houses have made just a tad bit better. The cost is transparent and you know what to expect one. The investment (made at us from about 0.5% of the total rental price), we do not consider "additional costs" but as part of "quality" of our construction budget.
